Did you make it? At 10am on October 10th 2014, Cheap Monday opened 10 pop-up stores in 10 selected city locations for just ten minutes. The final 10 locations included London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hong Kong, Seoul, Stockholm, Paris, Antwerp, Madrid and Copenhagen. Fans of the brand were able to vote where the pop-up stores would be held through social media and by voting through a post on Instagram. This social-media savvy marketing strategy got the consumer involved, and greatly rewarded them with a free pair of jeans!
Cheap Monday set up the shortest ever running pop-up stores to celebrate the brands 10th anniversary, that started by selling a great pair of jeans back in 2004. As the fans got involved and voted, Cheap Monday released the winning locations the day before the event, and if you made it to the event you would have been greeted by a pair of good quality jeans - for free! Each pop-up store were giving away 1,000 pairs of jeans, making a total of 10,000 pairs of free jeans to celebrate the brands 10th anniversary!
